To all of our LPI friends,
As we begin another school year, we do so with both joy and deep concern. Joy for the students who are with us—hopeful, eager, and ready to learn. And concern for the many who are not. The road we walk is sacred but not easy, and the realities we face as a border ministry continue to challenge us in profound ways.
I want to take a moment to share from the heart—to let you into the real struggles we are carrying and the steadfast hope that keeps us going.
The truth is, we have lost many students and families—gripped by fear, overwhelmed by uncertainty, and terrified of what might happen next. Some have felt they had no choice but to walk away, too afraid to risk being seen. Others never made it to us at all, paralyzed by fear before they could even try.
And yet, our work continues.
But for that, we need your prayers, your voice, and yes—your financial support. Your generous backing makes it possible for us to continue this sacred ministry without interruption, no matter the obstacles. It allows resilient young people to keep learning, keep dreaming, and keep believing in a future filled with hope and possibility. Together, we can stand in the gap and make sure they are not forgotten.
Through it all, we remain steadfast—because this ministry is more than our work; it is our calling. We hold to it not because it is easy, but because it is right. Education is holy work. It is an act of love, of justice, and of hope. Jesus Himself taught in the streets, in the synagogues, and on the hillsides—lifting others through truth, wisdom, and compassion. We follow that example, believing with all our hearts that every child deserves the chance to learn, to grow, and to be seen.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Thank you for loving our students, our teachers, our staff, and our entire LPI family. Thank you for believing in their future, for lifting them in prayer, and for reminding us that faith knows no borders.
Your compassion, your advocacy, and your financial support are not optional—they are urgent. They are what keep our students connected to their education, their community, and their hope. Your generosity helps us carry on, even in the face of fear and uncertainty. It allows our students to remain focused on their dreams and reminds them that they are not forgotten.
Because of you, we press on.
Because of you, our students still have hope.
And because of you—we are not alone.
With all our gratitude and in the strength of shared mission,
Dr. Carla Cardoza,
President
