Lydia Patterson Institute is proud to share that senior Karla Uranga has been named a 2025 QuestBridge College Prep Scholar.
This national award goes to high-achieving students across the country who show strong academics, leadership, and resilience. Karla is one of only 3,657 students chosen this year.
When she got the news, Karla said she felt “excitement, pride, and gratitude.” She explained:
“It was more than just an award; it was a recognition of my hard work, resilience, and dreams for the future. Through QuestBridge, Karla has gained many new opportunities, such as:
Attending the Virtual National College Admissions Conference to meet top universities and get guidance on the admissions process.
Free SAT/ACT prep from Kaplan.
The chance to visit college campuses through special programs.
Membership in the QuestBridge online community with other motivated students.
Reflecting on her experience, Karla shared:
“Being part of this program has opened many doors for me, from resources that help me prepare for college to connecting with mentors and opportunities I never imagined possible. One of the best parts has been meeting other motivated students who share my passion for learning and creating change.”
She also added:
“This recognition has reminded me that my goals are valid and within reach, no matter where I come from. QuestBridge has made me believe even more strongly in my ability to achieve my dreams and give back to my community.”
All of us at LPI are so proud of Karla’s success. Her achievement reminds us that with faith, hard work, and community support, our students can reach extraordinary heights.
