Paola 2024 Grad Students

Hello, my name is Paola Rosales, a proud graduate of Lydia Patterson Institute of the class of 2024. I am currently majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Prelaw in the illustrious Huston-Tillotson University, thanks to a scholarship that I was awarded by LPI and the Methodist Church.

Through this paragraph I would like to share my experience as a rising sophomore. During my freshman year at HT, I decided to join the Campus Activity Board, also known as CAB, where we were in charge of assisting with the creation and development of events such as Homecoming, Spirit Week, and Talent shows. However, during my transition to my second year I decided to run for a leadership position within the executive board of the club. After a process full of applications and interviews, I was chosen to the position I have today.

I currently and humbly serve as the Chair of Arts and Culture of the Campus Activity Board for the 2025-2026 school year. As a student-led organization, we have had a strong start as we assisted in new incoming students Move-In day, as well as returning student Move-In. Moreover, we have also helped in New Student Orientation and Welcome week for this starting school year. I am formally in charge of creating the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, which I am proud of because I have the opportunity to represent my country, all international students but overall, Lydia Patterson Institute.

It is because of all the values and knowledge that I was taught during my 6 years at LPI, that shaped and inspired me to become the person I am today. I will forever be thankful for this institution and the legacy that follow every generation.
