Friday Chapel is a treasured tradition at LPI. After a full week of classes and activities, students and staff come together to pause, pray, and be renewed.
With music, worship, and reflection, chapel reminds us that education is more than academics—it is also about faith, values, and spiritual growth.
Each Friday, our community is encouraged and strengthened, reminded that we are not alone, and united in joy as one family in Christ.

Paola, a proud 2024 graduate of Lydia Patterson Institute and now a second-year student at Huston–Tillotson University, continues to make us proud. She’s representing LPI with excellence—and just look at that banner featuring her on campus! Go Paola!

Lydia Patterson Institute is buzzing with joy as we welcome students back for a new school year. From the Class of 2026 to our newest Lions, we wish every student a year filled with learning, friendship, and blessings. Here’s to a bright and successful 2026!

LPI Class of 1975 Reunion: A Joyful Blast from the Past!
The Lydia Patterson Institute Class of 1975 Reunion, held on June 22, 2025, was an unforgettable celebration of lifelong friendships and shared memories. Alumni gathered from near and far to reconnect, reminisce, and relive their LPI days. The event was filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and gratitude for the impact LPI has had on so many lives. It truly was a blast!
A heartfelt thank-you to Arturo Valle, who graciously organized the reunion and brought classmates together. His leadership and love for LPI made this special gathering possible.
One of the most meaningful moments came when Rev. Harry Kahl flew in from San Antonio to join the group and lead a beautiful time of reflection and prayer in the LPI Chapel. It was a heartfelt moment of gratitude and spiritual connection.
Afterward, the Class of 1975 continued their celebration with dinner at Carlos & Mickey’s, where they shared stories, laughter, and a wonderful evening together.
We were also blessed to be joined by Ms. Woo, LPI Vice Principal, who has faithfully served the school for over 50 years. She was deeply moved to see so many familiar faces return. In her own words:
“The best part about it all is the alumni. To hear their stories and how much they appreciate LPI means a lot to me.”
And to everyone who attended—thank you for making it such a meaningful day. Events like these help strengthen not only our friendships but also our shared commitment to LPI’s mission.
At LPI, we want every graduate to know: our doors are always open. Whether you graduated recently or decades ago, you are forever part of the LPI family.
If your class is planning a reunion or alumni gathering, we’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to reach out to Domingo Betancourt, Director of Development, at 915-250-0061.
If you haven’t updated your contact information recently, this is a great time to do so. We’re always looking for ways to stay connected with our alumni and share exciting news from LPI.
We hope this is just the beginning of more reunions and alumni events to come!

Today, Mr. Galiza preached on Hebrews 9:27, reminding us of the certainty of death and the reality of judgment. He encouraged us to reflect on the way we live our lives in light of eternity. 🌟✝️
